Haiku?
A once-in-a-blue-moon update, because the Haiku generator Lauren posted was hilarious: And even better yet!: | | Friday, January 20th, 2006 | | 10:40 am |
Hoodie, Round 3
My guess is that mystery-hoodie belongs to Val, and it is still at my house. Somebody ask her if it belongs to her... I'm not posting my home number on LiveJournal, so if she (or the owner, if she's not) needs it have them call my home, and contact me by IM if they dont have the number. | | Wednesday, January 18th, 2006 | | 8:03 am |
Hoodie?
Somebody left a red, "energie" zip-up hoodie (small) in my basement. I am leaving town in 6 hours. If nobody miraculously claims it while in school, I will leave it with Chip. Pass the word, dammit, I don't want to be stuck with this thing! *dramatic growl* | | Saturday, January 14th, 2006 | | 7:34 pm |

dj mix
Made a highly glitchy mix, about an hour long... It was hard to concentrate at the party, talking to people too much, so it's got a lot of really gruesome errors, but whenever something sounds bad, blame it on the people distracting me ^_^ (And no, Jason, I still don't have a DJ name, nobody's suggested a good one yet! Anybody have ideas?) the mix, in mp3 formatIn other news, I love my new soundcard! Animations?
One of the techhouse events I'm helping run during recruiting month is an all-day animation marathon. I was going to split it up as best I can between anime, 3d animation, flash, internet shorts, all kinds of stuff.... I have a huge amount of anime, naturally, and while I do not currently have much 3d or claymation I am hoping to use some of my christmas certificates to pick up some DVDs I'd wanted to get, so I hope to have at least a critical mass of both claymation and computer animation. I was hoping that anyone who knows good online animations could reply to this and let me know... I've found a number of newgrounds flash animations, and one or two notable internet gimmicks from other sites, but anything people think is funny, important or just awesome, i'd appreciate it if people let me know where to find it. Downloadable is a plus, as I'd like to run the marathon with as little web surfing as possible between shorts. Once again, in shorter form, this is a REQUEST FOR ANIMATIONS If anybody knows any good Flash, 3D, Computer or ANY kind of animation that is available online, or for download, please let me know! RF Online = MORE procrastination!
Brief plug for two things: first, my lj-replacement blog, which I know nobody reads, I suspect nobody ever will, but which I plan to faithfully update anyway, should people develop an interest in my life: http://www.techhouse.org/~kadam/wp/second, the Phillipino beta of the game RF Online is really fun. It's not available to America so far, but if you use a Korean or Vietnamese proxy server and switch around your time zone, it's pretty fun. (This message is probably going out in the future, with Taipei time... I'm too lazy to worry about that though.) If anybody goes to the effort of getting it to work, I'm Alarin, on the Nexus server, switching between twin swords and a shotgun. Much fun. | | Tuesday, December 6th, 2005 | | 3:40 am |

Nihongo ga dekimasuka?
This is my first update in almost 5 months. Don't get too excited. I'm not back yet. This post is to state, definatively, that I am IN JAPAN, (specifically the outskirts of Tokyo,) until the 24th of July or thereabouts; that I have been since the 4th of June; that it's fucking AWESOME; and finally, that I have a website devoted to it: http://www.techhouse.org/~kadam/blog/blog.htmlThe photo section is updated through my Kyoto trip (almost a month ago now >_<), plus some more recent photos of Kamakura. I will be adding new galleries every few days until I reach the present, then MAAAAYBE going back in and titling the buggers, but no promises. As for those who are wondering when I'll be updating the blog page, I'd think looking at the state of my LJ should warn you who you're dealing with :-Þ. Pocky and Fran to all, (in a strictly metaphorical sense; as a preemptive strike, I'm WAY too close to the duty-free limit already to bring back food for everybody, go to Sea Ranch or Mitsuwa!!) over and out. -Adam Current Mood: Genki! | | Friday, February 4th, 2005 | | 1:06 am |

DONE WITH FINALS! I return home on the 19th (Sunday), after which there must be much reunioning. Now, for three days of relaxation and bliss ^_^ I had to post that, just for the amazingness of the first pairing.... I live in a pile of books. I don't have a ruler, so I can't tell which of these is closer.
1. Grab the nearest book. 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions. 5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you. "When orders are consistently trustworthy and observed, the relationship of a commander with his troops is satisfactory." (from The Art of War, Sun Tzu) Equidistant from me, on the other side of my computer: "When does a priest care about Science! He is above it!" (Nietzsche, The Antichrist, currently my loyal mousepad. |
